VIVA Las Vegas!!!

Well, I am back and finally recovered from my trip! Wow, what an amazing time we had! Being that we are all moms of young kids, we loved the fact that we could sleep as late as we wanted, eat a nice dinner without interruptions, lay by the pool and soak up some rays & party like a rock star!! hee hee We left Friday morning, bright and early, but were in Vegas by 10:00 am! We went straight to The Venetian to check in and I could not believe how big it was! We had 2 adjoining rooms and they were so nice! Here are a few shots of the hotel and if you have never stayed here, I highly recommend it!

And here we all are on our first night in town. We went to dinner, walked the strip, played some slots & roulette and then ended up at Jet in The Mirage. We had to wait in line to get in but once we told them we were on Paul McCartney's guest list they let us right in!! We had fun dancing and proving that even though we are moms, we still have it going on! Ha Ha Ha!

The second night we went to see "O" Cirque du Soleil at the Bellagio. It was a very entertaining show! I was amazed and impressed at what the performers were able to do. We were not able to take pictures of the show but take my word for it. It is an INCREDIBLE show!!

After the show, we ate dinner at Olives and had the best seat in town! We were outside on the patio with a perfect view of the water and the strip! It was so neat to be able to see the fountain show up close! The food was delicious and the view was incredible! It all made for a fantastic night!

We ended up at a piano lounge inside Planet Hollywood. The piano player was taking requests and put on a great show. He even obliged when we asked him to sing Texas songs for us! He didn't know too many, but did his best & played "All my Exes Live in Texas" and "Deep in the Heart of Texas". It was enough to make us happy!! Here is a picture of Sandy and me.

And here is Matt Newbold, the piano player in action!

On our way back to our rooms, we hit the slot machines. Unfortunately, the odds were not in our favor :(

On Sunday, our last full day, we spent most of the day at the pool (sorry no pics of that!). That evening we had dinner reservations at Chef Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill inside Caesar's Palace. Although the food was impressive, we all agreed that Olives was better! Sorry Bobby!!

After dinner, we ventured to see the rest of the strip. We ended the night at guess what? Another piano bar! This one was inside Harrah's and was a dueling piano bar. The player from the night before was there, as well as two others. Since it was our last night in town, we decided to live it up and let loose! Getting up at 6:30 the next morning wasn't easy, but it was worth the good time. Here are some pictures from our last night.

Thanks girls for a wonderful time and for introducing me to Vegas! And remember, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas......unless you have a blog that is :)
