The Frogs visit the Pumpkin Patch
Olivia's class aka The Frogs, took a visit to the pumpkin patch this week. Some ladies from the church were so sweet and did story time with the kids and then took them on a shape hunt through the pumpkins. After their exploring, each kid got to pick out a mini pumpkin to take home. Despite her little fit over the class picture, it was a good time.

Halloween Bunco
Last night at Bunco, we decided to dress up for Halloween. I thought I was really clever with my "black eyed pea" costume until I showed up and three other people had the same idea!!! Great minds think alike!

What a FUN night!!!

Boy Scouts Halloween Carnival
Monday night, Jacob's boy scout pack had their Halloween carnival. Kids were encouraged to wear their costumes and families were invited. Each den had a booth where the kids could play a game, decorate a cookie, do the cake walk, etc. It was a tad crazy and lots of fun!

Halloween Playdate
Last Monday, my Moms group had a Halloween get together at a local park for all the kiddos. Since part of Olivia's costume had not come in the mail yet, she decided to wear her Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader outfit. The kids did a craft, decorated cookies, and did a parade where they got goodies along the way! Oh, and who can forget the fun playground! What a fun morning!!!

Weekend in Boerne....
As I said in my last post, we went to Boerne on Friday and spent about 24 hours (literally) with my sister and her family. It was a fun time, despite the crazy weather.....yes it actually rained in the hill country!!! We managed to sneak a trip to the pumpkin patch in between rain showers. I always love pumpkin patch pics!
Soon after this picture was taken, the bottom of a rain cloud fell out and dumped on us. After being drenched and a mishap with Will's eye and the umbrella (don't ask) we took the boys back to the house. Then some of us girls went back downtown to stroll through Market Days. After a little shopping and lunch, we went back to the house and the kids played a few more hours before it was time to go. They had so much fun kayaking with the daddies, but unfortunately I didn't have my camera down by the creek. They also decided to swim in the cold water before we left. Can't believe they did it, but as you can tell from the look on Jacob's face, he didn't care!

If you know anything at all about our family, you know that once September is here, our life revolves around football. So needless to say, we had to leave Boerne in time to make kickoff of the Texas Tech vs. aTm game that evening. Well, it IS the biggest game of the year, in my opinion! Too bad we didn't win....
Donned in Tech gear and ready to go.
Bye Angel!!!!

BUSY!
Man, I don't know what the deal is around here, but we are just so darn busy! I literally seem to go from morning until night with no stopping in between! Case in point, we are going to San Antonio tomorrow and it is 10:30pm and I am still washing clothes so I can BEGIN to start packing. Thankfully, we aren't leaving until the afternoon, so sometime between my parent conference, getting the dog to the vet, and my doctor's appointment in the morning, it will get done :) We are so excited to go see my sister and her family and our good friends, the Tuckers. A much needed getaway......if I can ever get us packed!

Boy Scouts
I am very proud to say we now have a boy scout in the family!
Jacob is a wolf which is what 2nd graders are called and yesterday he had his first boy scout event called the Raingutter Regatta! We had heard from several people what a fun event this was so we were excited to participate for the first time! Craig and Jacob worked all week long on making his boat for the race. After cutting, sanding, painting, decorating, etc. the boat was finally finished just a few short hours before the race started!
Each boy had to blow his boat through the water and the first one to the end was the winner....
And he wins the first heat!
In his 2nd heat, he went up against one of his very best buddies.
Friendly competition :)
Unfortunately, he didn't win the second time, but a good time was had by all :)
