Jacob's CARNIVAL FUN DAY

Last Friday, the PTO sponsored FUN DAY at Jacob's school. This is in lieu of Field Day. Thanks to my friend Shelley, we were able to swap time watching the girls in order to volunteer and attend. I went up once in the morning to volunteer for another grade level and then back in the afternoon to go around with Jacob. I am so glad we were able to share this FUN time together!

35!

Last Thursday, I turned the BIG 35! I have to admit that I wasn't real thrilled about this particular birthday.....something about being five years from 40 isn't too appealing. But thanks to sweet family and friends, the day was great! I was sick all last week but luckily on my birthday, I started feeling a tad better. I started the day by opening a package from my fabulous sister. It contained some cute jewelry that I had to wear right away. I sent her this pic to show her....yes we are silly like that :)

Olivia went to a day camp put on by some of her preschool teachers so I had several hours to myself. Woo Hoo!!! I went and got a much needed haircut and then went and did this... I met Craig for lunch and did a little shopping! That night we went to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants and had a great time. And thanks to my sweet Dad, everyone on Facebook got to see birthday pictures of me from birth to about age 5! Thanks Dad!!!

It turned out to be a super birthday and I am actually grateful to have made this milestone!

Experience with Rhinos

Two weeks ago, Jacob and the Rhinos ended their first flag football season. I wish that I could say it was a great season, but unfortunately they did not win one single game :(
It was our first experience in a league other than FFPS and I have to admit that I missed it. We definitely had our ups and downs but we (he) made it through.
But not without learning some hard lessons about teamwork and not giving up...even when its not fun to play.

Little sister loved to cheer them on, even if she was wearing 3D glasses from the movie theater!

Goodbye Turtles & Pandas

On May 20th, Olivia had her last day of pre-school until next Fall. She was sad to leave her Turtle and Panda friends as well as her teachers. We were blessed that she was able to join not one, but two classes with sweet teachers. With my unique work situation, she had to go to two separate classes, but for the most part she handled it like a big girl. Turtle Class Teachers:

Miss Ginger

Ms. Desira

And her Panda teachers Ms. Karin & Ms. Jennifer She LOVES going to school, so I know she will miss it. Good thing we have a busy summer planned!!!

Not often enough....

Do I get to spend one on one time with my favorite little guy...

Yesterday Craig was gone and Olivia was taking a nap. It was the perfect opportunity for Jacob and I to hang out. We popped popcorn, ate Skittles, and watched a movie together. I even let him drink a Coke! It was a special time and I hope we can sneak more of these little dates in more often. I adore this boy!

A little girl time

I have taken Olivia with me to the nail salon twice over the last couple months. She was very excited but also wasn't quite sure what to think at first... She sat very still....taking it all in....But it didn't take long and she was a fan! I love that we get to share special girl time together and do things like this!

My Mom is Special!

Last weekend for Mother's Day one of my presents was something Jacob made at school. He had decorated a bag for me and inside of it was a questionnaire he had filled out. Here are the answers he filled out about me. Things like this are priceless :)

My Mom is special because: she makes cupcakes.

I like it when my mom: lets me go home early from school.

My mom can do many things! I think she's best at: everything!

My mom has a pretty smile. I like to make her smile by: when I say I love you!

My mom is as pretty as a: flower.

My mom is smart! She even knows: a lot of stuff!

First Beach Trip of the year

Last weekend some of our favorite friends, the Tuckers came for a visit. On Sunday we decided on a whim to head to Galveston for the day! It was a fun day, despite the strong wind and big waves. Oh yeah, and the INCREDIBLE amount of seaweed! Yuck! I have never seen it this bad, but luckily the kids didn't seem to care. The girls were so happy to be playing in the sand.Jacob hardly ever came out of the water but I did manage to snag this shot! The daddies were not left out of the fun either. I just love these shots of them with their girls. bathing beauties busy in the sand lovin' it great memories

Mother's Day

Today has been a wonderful day. I have spent time with my three favorite people and they have taken really good care of me. I am thankful that God chose ME to be the mother to these adorable faces that I love with all my heart....

My world was forever changed when this 8 lb.6oz. bundle of joy came into my life 7 years ago...

This little girl teaches me to smile everyday... I am blessed.
