Best of 2009

Happy New Year's Eve everyone! Thought I would post some of my favorite pictures from 2009 and the ones that capture the moments we will never forget! Warning you now- this post might be a long one! I always have a hard time choosing!

Ok, that's all! It was fun looking back at all the memories we made as a family. Seems that each year seems to pass by faster than the one before. Here is to 2010 and to making it one of the best years yet!

Santa Claus Came to Town

Santa's elves must have been busy this year! Jacob's loot plus the racetrack which was too big to fit under the tree!
Olivia's goods
When the kids woke up the next morning, Jacob was the first one to run in the living room and see what Santa had left. He was pleasantly surprised!!

And Olivia ran straight to her Barbie big wheel! It was a BIG hit! Jacob got both things he asked for....a racetrack and a Leapster game. Plus, Santa left something he wasn't expecting... An electric guitar! No more playing the "air guitar" for this cool dude!!

Livvy had fun playing with her new stroller and baby doll, but most of all loved the CANDY! I think Santa could have left her nothing but chocolate and she would have been happy with that.

The rest of the day was spent leisurely. The kids were occupied playing with all their new stuff and the adults indulged in cards and dominoes. Olivia took a nice long nap so Mommy got a nice long break as well. Here are a few snippets from the rest of our day. Jacob was off playing with the "big kids" so I wasn't able to get as many of him...

Hope your Christmas was as blessed as ours was this year!

Christmas Eve

The morning of Christmas Eve, we packed up the car (to the ceiling) and headed to Burnet to spend Christmas with extended family. This year, Craig's mom was visiting so she got to come along for the trip. I wish I would have taken a picture of the car because we had things piled everywhere and stuffed in every corner! Reminded me of the Griswold's minus Aunt Edna on the roof!

After a long 5 hour drive, we made it. The kids were so excited to see their cousins and ALL the presents piled under the tree.

It wasn't long before Miss O was caught trying to tear into some packages! BUSTED

Cousins

We had a delicious meal of Italian pot roast with about 10 side dishes. Seriously, I can't even name them all! We were too stuffed for dessert right away, so we took some pictures...

Attempted to get all the kids looking in one shot...

And then gave up!

Finally, on to present time!!!

Poor Jacob didn't have much to open! hee hee And Olivia could hardly contain herself! Yippee!! Let the unwrapping begin...

All that unwrapping was hard work. And after a long road trip, the excitement of the day and no nap, Olivia was tired to say the least!

We eventually got all the kids to bed....which was a good thing because Santa had a lot of work to do!
