I should be cleaning...

With the aftermath of Christmas still taking over the house, the Christmas decorations still out and leftovers still in the fridge, I should be cleaning out and organizing......but I'm NOT! The kids and I are headed to Grandpa and Suzy's house in the mountains of New Mexico!! We are stopping in San Antonio tomorrow night to see our friends The Tuckers and then Wednesday we will be on our way to see some snow (hopefully)! Please pray for safe travels and for my sanity in the car with 2 kids for 9 hours!!!!!!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a busy day in our house! In the morning, the kids and I made a birthday cake for Jesus and then baked cookies for Santa while Daddy was busy prepping for our Christmas meal the following day. After naps, we went to the children's service at church and then came home for dinner and opening presents! Tradition in our family is to open presents before bed on Christmas Eve. Even though we were having Christmas at home without extended family this year, we tried to continue traditions the best we could. It was a very long but extremely fun day! I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story :)

After we put out the cookies and reindeer food, it was time for bed. The kids were tired and Santa had LOTS of work to do before Christmas morning!

Happy 40th!

Today is a special day. My sister Angella turns 40 today! We have a very special relationship and I am so thankful God made us sisters! Since I wasn't able to be there today to help her celebrate, I wanted to dedicate this post in her honor!

Santa

A few nights ago, we went down to the waterway for some Christmas carols and to see Santa! Olivia was not a fan of the fountains because the wind was splashing the water on her.

Jacob, however, was all smiles!

And then we had hot chocolate.... If someone knows hot to get those stains out, let me know! Oxi Clean is not doing the trick!!!

Family Pictures

I am so behind on the blog! Has it really been TEN days since my last post? Between our being busy and having last minute Christmas plans change, things have been more than crazy around here! Not sure where to start, so I'll just share some of our family pictures we had made several weeks ago. Due to Olivia being in her cast and then not able to walk, we had been waiting a long time to do these. We ended up doing them in Old Town Spring on a very cold morning, but they turned out great and we were very pleased with them! I am just going to share a few of my favorites because there were so many good ones!
