Ike

Well, we are preparing for Hurricane Ike which is expected to hit Galveston in the next 12 hours or so. We are at least 80 miles north of the coast and feel safe. Our fridge and pantry are stocked, batteries and flashlights ready, candles lined up and ready to be lit! We are most worried about the winds and all the trees behind us, but hopefully everything will be fine. The kids will be sleeping in our room tonight, just to be safe :) Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we get ready to "hunker down" and weather the storm! I will try to update after its over and we have power. (We are expecting to lose power but we don't know for how long)!! See ya on the other side of the storm.....
