BIG day!!

Today was a BIG DAY in the Eads household! Olivia finally got her hearing aids! This is a day we have been anticipating for a long time! We are so happy our baby girl finally has what she needs!

She was super happy, as you can tell! I think she was so excited to be able to hear new sounds and to hear things so much more clearly! One of the funniest parts of the day was when we were leaving the hospital and walking out to the car. She was riding in the stroller and Craig was walking next to her. She heard the clop clop of his feet hitting the pavement and looked down at his feet and then up at his face and then back down to his feet again. The look on her face was priceless! You could tell she had never heard that sound before (or at least that clearly)!

We had ordered two different types but decided to go with the pink ones because they just suited her and were too darn cute! She is a girly girl after all :)

So far she has not tried to pull them out but I am sure the time will come eventually. We were told that would be the biggest challenge at this age. She doesn't particularly like you putting them in, but once they are in she seems fine. It is so neat to watch her reactions as she is exploring with them in. We go back in 2 weeks for a follow up appointment and they will continue to monitor her often which is reassuring. We are just so glad and relieved that the hardest part of all this is over (or at least I think it is!) Here's to moving on and seeing what God has in store! I will end with a few more shots of her modeling her new "accessories"!

Wow Shana! What a big day for you all - I am in tears as I think of how amazing it had to be to watch her explore her "new world!" So exciting for her and for all of you! What a burden lifted for you. A huge answer to prayer.

OH HAPPY DAY!!

Love those rolls. She is beyond sweet. So glad she'll be able to hear the pitterpatter of her tiny feet!
