Easter Weekend

For Easter this year, we stayed in town, instead of going to my MeMe's like we usually do. I got to shake up the plans a little bit as well as keep some of the old traditions going. We started on Saturday with dying the eggs. This is one of my favorite things to do at Easter and the kids had a lot of fun too!
Daddy even got in on the fun :)
Easter morning, the kids were up bright and early, of course! The Easter Bunny hadn't been able to hide the eggs yet because the dew on the grass was so wet so I entertained the kids in my bedroom (with the blinds closed!) while the "Easter Bunny" did his thing in his backyard :)
When they were finally allowed to come out of my room, they spied their baskets!

The Easter Bunny was generous this year. They each got bunny ears, a movie, a bug catcher net, a book, a few small toys, and of course LOTS of candy!

Then it was egg hunting time!!! Olivia was so excited about her new dress, that she had to put it on before she could go outside.

After Easter bunnies and eggs, it was time to get on with the real meaning of Easter! We headed to church which was at The Pavilion. I wasn't quite sure how it would be sitting in a service where I would normally go to watch concerts, but it was actually very nice. It was a gorgeous morning and we enjoyed it. Jacob got to sit with us since the childcare was only for 5 and under. He thought that was cool!

At the end of the service, we released live butterflies. It was very neat! (Even if Olivia did crush her poor butterfly's wing....oops!)

She wanted to chase them all around... Me and my girl After church, we ate a yummy lunch at Tommy Bahamas and I was able to snag this pic of my loves. It's one of my favorites!Hope you and your family had a blessed Easter!
