Roadtrip to Kentucky Part 1: Arkansas

After our fun trip to Burnet, we were home for 2 whole days and then loaded up the car again for our BIG road trip! Craig's younger sister, Lisa, was getting married in Louisville so we decided to make a road trip out of our journey to the wedding. We were gone for 12 days, went to 4 states and had many adventures along the way! Our first stop was at a national forest in Arkansas to see some waterfalls. After a long drive deep into the forest, down a few dirt roads, way back in the woods, we arrived.....and it was beautiful!

The water was crystal clear and the kids had a blast exploring and swimming around! After playing at the falls,we drove to Hot Springs for some lunch. The downtown area was adorable and we ate at a great little restaurant that has been featured in Southern Living Magazine. It was a hole in the wall, but delicious!! I just loved this old wall and had to snap a pic :) As we left Arkansas, we headed to Memphis and crossed the mighty Mississippi! Next post......MEMPHIS!
