Surgery Dates Set

All preliminary tests from Genetics looked good. The geneticist we met with said he did not see any reason why Olivia would be at risk for surgery. They are doing testing for Pendred's syndrome and then just a chromosomal analysis, but we don't have those results back yet. If all that comes back clear, then her hip surgery dates will be set for July 13th and August 3rd. Dr. G. operates on them separately and does them 3 weeks apart. Not sure exactly how long she will be in the spica cast but we do know it will be about 3 months total. We are in the process of trying to prepare ourselves for having a immobilized 2 1/2 year old so if anyone has any suggestions, please share!!! We are also going to be moving her out of her baby bed and into a twin sized "big girl bed". Pictures of the renovated room to come soon......hopefully she will LOVE it!
