Gone Fishin'

Jacob has taken up a new hobby, well actually I guess its a sport.....fishing!!! Craig recently bought him a brand new pole and he couldn't wait to try it out! Here he is practicing in the back yard the night before.

They had plans to go to a pretty good fishing spot near a local lake, but Craig accidentally left his fishing license at work Friday! So they ended up back at the creek we went to on this day. Despite the fact they didn't catch anything, they still had a fabulous time!

This morning we got up and went for a Sunday drive. We ended up at the spot where they wanted to go yesterday. It looks like it is a great place to fish since it is where the river feeds into the lake. We ended up on a little hike through the muddy woods and found a small spot for him to cast out a few times.

Unfortunately, two year olds and muddy creek beds don't mix very well! We weren't able to stay very long for fear that she was going to slip in! However, she enjoyed playing in the woods too! I have a feeling the boys of the house will be gone fishin' a lot more this Spring! Which just means the girls are going shopping! And that is totally fine by me =)
