Tomorrow morning Olivia is scheduled to have a second ABR test done. When she was first diagnosed with a hearing loss, this is the test that was used. The ABR is painless, she will be given a strong sedative and once she is asleep, they will begin the test. We had to put her to bed late and are supposed to wake her up early in the morning so that she is tired and will hopefully fall asleep easily. I am hoping this round goes smoother than the first time when she didn't sleep long enough for them to complete the test....and then we had to go back and do the test all over =(
We have to be down in the med center by 7:00 AM and it is just she and I going! As luck would have it, Houston is under a severe freeze warning tonight (like temps dipping into the low 20s). This is VERY unusual so I am praying for dry roads and also good test results. The point of the test is to measure her hearing loss and see if it has changed at all. We are hoping the results will show no change and that her loss hasn't gotten any worse.
Please keep us in your prayers.....Thanks!
