Zoo with the Kenisons

Last week we met my life long friend, Jenny, her kids and her parents at the Houston Zoo. Jenny and I live about an hour apart so we don't get to see each other as often as we would like. We are going to try and meet up once a month somewhere in between so that too much time doesn't go by before we see each other again! Our first meeting was at the zoo and we had absolutely perfect weather which made for a GREAT day! Jenny's parents live about 2 hours away but drove in to go with us and it was so nice to see them. I practically lived at their house half the time in high school so they know me and my family very well. And to top if all off, Craig was able to squeeze some time away from work and go with us (perk of working from home)!

After the zoo, we took a train ride around Herman Park. They are in the process of remodeling the train and making a really neat looking station. We can't wait to go back down there and ride again once it is all finished!
